E. & J. Gallo Winery was founded in September 1933 by brothers Ernest and Julio Gallo in Modesto, California. Today the company operates multiple wineries in Modesto, Livingston, Lodi, and Fresno, along with the Gallo Glass Company, which runs the largest single glass plant in the United States.
