About Califia Farms
The company takes its name from the legend of Queen Califia, a mythical figure associated with the state. The company produces a range of plant-based beverages including almond, oat, coconut, and soy milks, as well as creamers, cold-brew coffees, juices, and culinary items. Manufacturing takes place at its Bakersfield facility, where products are formulated with simple ingredient lists—such as almond milk made from water, organic almonds, and sea salt—and packaged in distinctive curvy bottles made from 100% recycled plastic (excluding cap and sleeve). Califia Farms serves retail grocery chains, foodservice operators, coffee shops, and direct-to-consumer channels. Its barista blends are designed for café use, while kitchen companions and seasonal offerings target home cooks. Products are distributed through brick-and-mortar stores and online retailers. Steltenpohl started the business to make the transition to plant-based eating easy by delivering the "irresistible goodness of plants" in nourishing, delicious formats. The company emphasizes sustainability through commitments to resilient agriculture, circular economy, climate solutions, and community impact, and it highlights its simple, purpose-driven formulations as a key differentiator.
