About White Gorge Designs
White Gorge Designs operates from Salt Lake City, Utah, where founder Sam builds furniture and fitness implements by hand. The company emphasizes craftsmanship and sustainability, though a founding year is not publicly disclosed. The shop produces tables and grip-strength implements using steel and aluminum, materials chosen for their recyclability. Hardware is fully replaceable, and the design allows for simple refinishing or repair. Production runs are kept limited, reflecting a small-batch, made-to-order approach. Products are sold directly to consumers through the company’s online store, serving the residential furniture and home-fitness markets. Custom pieces are also offered for clients seeking tailored dimensions or finishes. White Gorge Designs positions its work as an alternative to planned obsolescence, promoting a “planned sustainability” philosophy: pieces are designed to last generations, with materials that can be separated and recycled at end of life.
