About RBC Furniture
RBC Furniture operates from Nottingham, New Hampshire, where founder Ryan launched the business in 2019 after years in finish carpentry. He opened an Etsy shop to test demand for small wood crafts—shelves, keepsake boxes, valet trays, and mail organizers—and gradually expanded into full-scale custom furniture making. The venture remains a family-run affair, with Ryan’s wife Sara managing marketing while he handles design and construction. The shop produces heirloom-quality furniture built from solid wood selected for freedom from defects. Each piece follows a custom design process: Ryan consults with the client, provides progress updates, and employs traditional joinery techniques that highlight the natural grain and contrast of multiple wood species. Output ranges from one-off commissions such as sideboards, coffee tables, and entertainment stands to a modest line of ready-to-ship items sold through the Etsy storefront. Past projects include a custom sideboard table documented from design to finish, a living-room coffee table and entertainment stand, and bedroom shelving—all built to the client’s specifications. The minimal, Shaker-influenced aesthetic reflects his belief that the material and craftsmanship should speak for themselves.
