About 8MSolar
8MSolar is headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina. The company was founded by Ali Buttar and Usman Noor, who relocated from Ohio after years at a solar firm there. Seeking to combine engineering and construction under one roof and avoid investor-driven delays, they established 8MSolar in Raleigh, drawn by the region’s sunny climate and growing solar market. The firm provides turnkey solar photovoltaic and battery storage installations for residential and commercial customers. Its in-house team includes licensed professional electrical engineers (PE) operating as a Chapter 87 Engineering Firm, and the company holds Unlimited General Contractors (license #82456) and Unlimited Electrical Contractors licenses. 8MSolar manages design, permitting, utility interconnection, and installation using Pegasus Solar racking systems, and remains hardware-agnostic across panel, inverter, and battery brands. Clients span homeowners, corporations, non-profits, government agencies, and agricultural operations. Notable commercial and government references include Caterpillar, Honda of the Carolinas, the City of Durham, the Town of Apex, and City of Raleigh Fire Departments, as well as poultry farms and self-storage facilities. The founders’ original vision was to eliminate the fragmentation between engineering and construction that slowed project delivery. 8MSolar differentiates itself through single-source accountability, lifetime workmanship and roof-penetration warranties, and a certification portfolio that includes NABCEP, Tesla PowerWall, Enphase, SolarEdge, Generac, and multiple module-manufacturer partner programs.
